Tottenham seal deal to sign Davinson Sanchez from Ajax
Tottenham Hotspur will be making their first signing in this current transfer window after agreeing a deal to bringing in Ajax’s centre-back, Davinson Sanchez Mina for a club transfer record of $54.2 million in a six-year deal. Last season, the 21-year old scored six goals in 42 matches for the Dutch club and was voted Ajax Player of the Year.
Sanchez made his debut for the Colombian national team last November and has played twice. He told, www.tottenhamhotspur.com “I am very excited to be signing for such a famous club as Tottenham Hotspur. I am looking forward to working with (manager) Mauricio Pochettino and the players and meeting everyone there.”
His arrival will allay the fears of the fans who have expressed their concerns over Tottenham’s docility in the transfer market this season. The defender joined Ajax in June, 2016 from Colombian club Atletico Nacional, where he made his debut aged 17, and was part of their Copa Libertadores-winning side last year.
