Premier League clubs break their transfer spending records
Barclays Premier League clubs have broken their own records during this current transfer window according to a sports analyst group with more deals being expected before the transfer market closes on Thursday. After Southampton signed Lazio centre back Wesley Hoedt, it brought the overall spend by England’s 20 elite clubs to £1.184.9 billion up from the £1.18 billion pounds the clubs spent in last summer’s window.
Altogether, twenty clubs at the Barclays Premier League had a net spendings of £565 million with £619.9 million received. This figures does not include addendums like agent fees etc. Manchester City spent, £221.5 million and Manchester United spent £145.8 million and Everton, £139.9 million.
