Stephen Curry signs biggest contract in NBA history

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors has agreed to a five-year deal, US$201 million dollar deal, which is termed as the richest contract in NBA history. He’s the first NBA superstar that has crossed the US$200 million Dollar threshold says his agent Jeff Austin of Octagon.

The contract will be finalised by Golden State Warriors management as soon as the free agency moratorium ends on Thursday. The deal has received a lot of accolades from fellow stars including LeBron James, who congratulated him and also said Steph Curry was worth more than that.

At 29, Steph Curry has had a career average of 22.8 points, 6.8 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game spanning eight seasons. He has led the league in three-pointers for five consecutive seasons, with an average of 43.8% which is the third highest of all time. He is a two-time league MVP, a four-time All-Star and a three-time All-NBA first-team performer.
