Nigeria’s D’Tigress qualify for the semi-final of the FIBA AfroBasket 2023

Nigeria’s D’Tigress defeated Mozambique 59 – 52 to book a semi-final spot at the FIBA AfroBasket 2023. Amy Okonkwo of Nigeria scored 17 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist, and 1 block whilst Tamara Seda of Mozambique scored 13 points, 10 rebounds, 0 assists, 3 steals, and 0 blocks.

In the earlier quarter-final matches, Senegal defeated Cameroon 80 – 77 whilst Mali defeated Guinea 96 – 40. Host nation, Rwanda defeated Uganda 66 – 61.

With these results, Senegal will play Mali in the first semi-finals on August 3, while Nigeria will play Rwanda in the second semi-final.
