Max Verstappen has won the Hungarian Grand Prix to give RedBull its record twelfth-straight victory in F1 history.
At the start of the first lap, pole positioner, Lewis Hamilton ends up in fourth place after losing the first-corner battle to Max Verstappen.
Lando Norris finished second once more for McLaren, and Sergio Perez, who started eighth in the other Red Bull, finished third after a series of daring overtakes.
On a challenging afternoon where he dropped three spots on the opening lap, Perez had to fight off a charging Hamilton in the closing stages as the Mercedes finally came alive again on less fuel. However, the seven-time world champion was forced to settle for fourth.
Oscar Piastri finished fifth, while Norris’ and McLaren’s performances helped them maintain their position of fifth in the Constructors’ Championship after Alpine experienced a second double DNF after Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon crashed as a result of some first-corner pinball on the first lap.
