Max Verstappen wins the Belgian Grand Prix

Max Verstappen has won the 2022 Belgian Grand Prix for the second year in a row. The Red Bull driver overcame a grid penalty for a power unit change that meant he started from the midfield.

The victory at the Spa-Francorchamps was the Dutchman’s third win on the bounce this season after successive victories in France and Hungary before the summer break.

The win in Belgium was Verstappen’s ninth win of 2022 and his world championship advantage skyrocketed to ninety-three points with eight more races left on the F1 calendar for this year.
