DeMarcus Cousins joins Golden State Warriors on a 1-year, $5.3 million deal

DeMarcus Cousins has signed with the Golden State Warriors in a one-year, US$5.3 million deal. In joining the Oakland-based side, Cousins will play alongside four fellow-Allstars in the starting lineup namely, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

Prior to joining Golden State, he has received significant interests from various teams – Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards and the New Orleans Pelicans. He became a free agent in January after suffering a torn Achilles tendon. The four-time-All-Star had also played with Durant, Thompson and Green on USA Basketball.
