Max Verstappen wins chaotic German Grand Prix

Max Verstappen emerged winner in a chaotic German Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver claimed his second win of the season at Hockenheim in unpredictable and unfavourable weather conditions that swung from wet to dry.

Lewis Hamilton missed out on a point finish while leading the race as his car lost control under the safety car at turn 17 on lap 30 destroying his front wing.

Verstappen told reporters this after his triumph, “it was an amazing race to win in the end, it was really tricky out there to make the right calls, and we really had to be focused.

“We had a little moment on the slick tyres, but it was a really nice 360! I enjoyed that, but it was all about trying to not make too many mistakes. You learn over the years.”
