Nigeria’s Falconets crashes out of U-20 Women’s FIFA World Cup

Nigeria’s Falconets have crashed out of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica. They lost their quarter-final encounter by two goals to nil all from a defensive error from the skipper, Blessing Demehin.

Two first-half goals from Zera Hulswit in the 11th minute and Ziva Caroline Henry in the 33rd minute were all the Dutch female junior team needed to make a leap to the semi-finals of the tournament.

The Falconets controlled and held most of the possessions throughout the encounter, had more shots on target but failed to convert their chances in the final third.
