Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo scored a hat-trick as Nigeria defeated Libya 4 – 0 in an African Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo, Nigeria. Nigeria opened the scoring as early as the third minute through a well-converted penalty.
The match ended 1 – 0 at half-time. The Libyans were assertive on a few occasions, causing some scares to the Nigerians. The Nigerian midfield duo of Ahmed Musa and Alex Iwobi pressurized the Libyan defence and it yielded fruits.
