Veteran Egyptian goalkeeper, Essam El-Hadary has resigned from international football after twenty-two active years. His last match for the Pharaohs of Egypt was at the 2018 FIFA World Cup last group stage game against Saudi Arabia. In a Facebook post a few hours ago, he said “After 22 years, four months and 12 days, I saw it as the best moment to hang up my gloves, I’m proud to have played with the national team in 159 internationals, participating in unprecedented achievements.”
