Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho said on Monday, he will step up to wanting to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid if he’s left out of the starting lineup in Tuesday’s Super Cup between the Red Devils and the current UEFA Champions League holders.
Gareth Bale was once the world’s most expensive soccer player when he joined from Tottenham Hotspur for US$111 million. During the last season, he fell off the pecking order at Real Madrid due to an injury-ravaged season that saw him miss the Champions League final against Juventus.
Mourinho said “If he is not in the club’s plans, that with the arrival of another player would mean he was on his way out. I will try to be waiting for him on the other side and fight with other coaches that would want him on their team.” Mourinho will take the Welsh international absence tomorrow as an invitation to treat.
