Roger Federer defeated his tough Czech opponent 7-6, 7-6, 6-4 to reach the Wimbledon finals for the eleventh time. The match was quite tough but he rose beyond the challenges to becoming the oldest man after Ken Rosewall in 1974 to become a singles finalist.
The 35-year old Swiss will be playing Marin Cilic in the final on Sunday and he’s a huge favourite to win the title. He has now reached 29 grand slam finals and winning 18 in the process. At this year’s Wimbledon, Berdych has been his toughest opponent so far.
