Naomi Osaka wins third Grand Slam title

Naomi Osaka returned to the pinnacle of women’s Tennis on Saturday after beating Victoria Azarenka to win her second US Open title.

Osaka won in a 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 match to cap a series of power play and political activism at the US Open tourney in New York.

She became the first woman in 26 years to win a US women singles final after losing the first set. The last player prior to Osaka was Arantxa Sanchez Vicario who defeated Steffi Graf in 1994.
