Dani Alves joins PSG on a free transfer from Juventus

Brazilian full-back, Dani Alves has joined Paris Saint-Germain from Juventus on a free transfer in a two-year deal. Alves became a free agent after the Turin-based club released him from his contract early. The former Barcelona star helped Juventus win the Italian double – Serie A and Coppa Italia. Dani Alves is the 30th Brazilian to play for the Ligue 1 club.

Alves said, “Believe me, I am coming to Paris to win. In recent years, I have been able to gauge the incredible growth of this club, which has become a European football powerhouse. It’s very exciting to now be part of this great project.” Surprisingly, he opted against joining Manchester City coached by Pep Guardiola his former boss during his stint at the Nou Camp.
