James Rodriguez joins Bayern Munich on loan

Bayern Munich has signed Real Madrid striker, James Rodriguez on a two-year loan deal with the option to buy. The Colombian joined the Los Blancos from Monaco in 2014 after his incredible displays at the World Cup in Brazil for a whopping fee of £71 million. He played 111 times for Real Madrid, scored 36 goals and provided 41 assists but has continued to fall off the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane’s leadership.

Prior to the confirmation of the loan deal with the Bayern, he has been linked with a summer move to Premier League Champions, Chelsea, and Manchester United. The details of the deal include a loan fee of 5 Million Euros per year, his wages pegged at 10 Million Euros a year, so effectively Bayern will pay up to 30 Million Euros if he stays for those two years with the option to buy him outrightly for another 35 Million Euros.
