World fastest man, Usain Bolt overcame a slow start to win the Ostrava Golden Spike 100m race slightly edging the Cuban, Yunier Perez who ran a personal best of his personal best of 10.09 seconds. The Jamaican started so slowly but picked up midway to finish the race in 10.09 seconds.
Bolt has become a popular figure at the Ostrava and his fans in their benevolence, raise up placards to form the Jamaican flag to show their appreciation. He’s preparing for a final world championships in London this summer and could be the leeway to his retirement hopefully.
The sprinter who has won eight Olympic gold medals and thirteen world championships was not happy about clocking over ten seconds but remain assured that he will make adequate improvement in his next races. “I am not happy with the time but I am just getting to my running, I have some training to do… but will be fine” he said.
