BREAKING NEWS: Gareth Bale set to leave Real Madrid for China

Real Madrid and Welsh striker, Gareth Bale is set to leave Spanish footballing giant, Real Madrid to join Chinese club, Jiangsu Suning on a three-year deal.

Bale was left on the bench in Real Madrid 1 -3 defeat to Bayern Munich in their pre-season fixture and manager, Zinedine Zidane has reiterated that “he’s close to leaving and it will be the best for everyone.”

Gareth Bale came off the bench to score in Real Madrid’s last game against Arsenal at the International Champions Cup which they won on penalties after a 2 – 2 draw at regulation time.

Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane insisted his performance against Arsenal “changes nothing” and in hindsight, could be Gareth Bale’s last game for Real Madrid.

The Welshman joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspurs for a world record transfer fee of £85m at the time and he has three years left on his contract.

His sojourn at the Spanish capital was quite successful. He won four Champions League title, one La Liga title, one Copa del Rey, three UEFA Super Cups, and Club World Cups.

The Golfer as his teammates calls him ended last season on the bench as Real Madrid suffered their poorest domestic form in 20 years – 68 points, 12 defeats, and a third-place finish on the La Liga standings, 19 points behind League winner, Barcelona.

This last season, he played 42 matches for the Los Blancos and was sometimes booed by Real Madrid supporters during some matches. Due to injury challenges, Gareth Bale had only started 79 matches in the past four seasons.
