David Beckham to be honoured at LA Galaxy Football Club

Former England football star, David Beckham will be the first Major League Soccer player to be honoured with a statue at LA Galaxy Football Club stadium prior to their season’s opener on March 2.

He became the first big name European player to join the Major League Soccer in 2007 and won back-to-back championships in the 2011 and 2012 season.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid ace had 98 caps for the LA Galaxy in his six-year stint at the club and was the pacesetter for other big names to make the move towards playing in the MLS.
