Match Game 14 Summary: Tunisia 1 vs England 2

At the Volgograd Arena, England maintained their dominance over African teams by defeating Tunisia 2 – 1. The Three Lions have never lost to an African side at the World Cup. Early on the 11′ minute, Harry Kane broke the deadlock as the Tunisian goalkeeper made a fine save but the Tottenham Hotspur ace was there to slot it in with a rebound effort.

In the 15′ minute, the Tunisian goalkeeper was substituted due to injury and replaced with Farouk Ben Mustapha. In the 35′ minute, Tunisia equalised via a penalty and it was well taken by Ferjani Sassi – the goal was the first scored by an African team in the 2018 World Cup. In the opening minute of extra time – 90+1, Trippier’s corner was headed by Maguire and placed right in front of an unmarked Harry Kane who with a twisted headed get England the winning goal.
