Barcelona to sue Neymar for €8.5m

FC Barcelona has made it clear in unequivocal terms that they will sue Neymar for breach of contract after his departure to PSG. Barcelona is suing Neymar for 8.5 million euros for alleged breach of contract and demanding he returns the loyalty bonus paid after he renewed his deal in October, less than a year before he signed for Paris St. Germain.

The Catalan based club is asking for an additional 10% due to them because of a delay in payment after the player was presented to them on August 11. The club management says, “Barcelona have taken this action in defence of its interests. That defense will be carried out according to the established procedure at the appropriate institutions, without at any time entering into any dialectical battles with the player.”
