Real Madrid dominated the first half of the encounter, and that yielded results when Vasquez scored just after six minutes into the match.
Barcelona winger, Malcom scored Barcelona’s only goal to leave the match evenly poised after the first leg.
Real Madrid will host the second leg at Santiago Bernabeu on February 27.
