Manchester United sack Jose Mourinho after worst campaign in 28 years

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has been sacked. His departure is premised after the club’s abysmal run that has resulted in the worst ever start to a Premier League campaign.

The Portuguese had a not so good relationship with his players – with Paul Pogba face-off on the training ground and with Alonso Valencia forced to apologize for “liking” an Instagram post that called for the sack of Mourinho.

An official statement from the club said: “Manchester United announces that manager Jose Mourinho has left the club with immediate effect. The club would like to thank Jose for his work during his time at Manchester United and to wish him success in the future. A new caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the current season, while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager.”

Former Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane has been tipped for to replace Jose Mourinho.
