Super Falcons earlier this evening in Accra, Ghana defeated the Indomitable Lionness of Cameroon 4 – 2 following a penalty shootout.

At the end of 90′ minute, the score stood at 0 – 0 and after extra time at 120′ minute mark, it still remained a goalless draw.

Onome Ebi, Rasheedat Ajibade, Asisat Oshoala, and Ngozi Ebere all converted their spot kicks while Rivers Angels goalkeeper, Tochukwu Oluehi saved two penalties to deny Nigeria’s perennial rivals, Cameroon to advance to the finals.

The Nigerian side awaits the winner of the second semi-final between Mali and South Africa to determine who they will play their final match with.

With this win, Nigeria has qualified for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 to be hosted by France.
