Two minutes into the second-half, Egyptian captain, Ahmed Fathy scored an own goal as he deflected a shot. In the 59′ minute, Denis Cheryshev scores the second goal for the Russians. Two minutes after, Artem Dzyuba makes it three for the Russians to seal the game past the Egyptians. Egypt scored their only goal through a well-converted penalty by Mohamed Salah in the 73′ minute.
