Jurgen Klopp is optimistic that Liverpool can withstand the pressures of the new Premier League season and also participate in the Champions League playoff within the same week as they have a much stronger squad than last season. Liverpool’s fourth position sealed a place for them in the playoff round for next season’s Champions League which will be played on August 15 & 16 and the return leg will be played a week later.
The Kops will commence their Premier League campaign on August 12 with an away match at Watford which the Liverpool manager believes, he will make good and in the same week, he hopes to make a decent start in the Champions League then seal a permanent place and make a return to the competition after a two-year absence. The Merseyside club will begin their pre-season preparation with a friendly match against Tranmere Rovers on July 12.
