26-year old Danny Welbeck is visiting his native country, Ghana. The Arsenal star visited his family members in Nkatie, Ashanti region of the country. He’s on vacation following the end of the soccer season in England and his team failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in 20 years but his side won the FA Cup.
The former Manchester United player confirmed through his Twitter handle that is Mom through the help of a Manchester church has helped build a school in the village. He tweeted, ”Proud of my mother & St Andrew’s Church Droylsden, Manchester for donations towards building St Paul’s Sunshine Pre-School in Nkawie GH.”
Danny, born 26-years ago to Ghanian parents choose to play for England instead of Ghana and has represented the Three Lions at the Euro 2012 Championships and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
