Never before in the history of the NBA have two same teams – Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers played in four NBA finals. In Cleveland, the Warriors maintained their superiority and clinched a triumvirate, winning their third NBA title in four years in Game 4 coasting home with a 108 – 85 advantage over the Cavaliers.

The Warriors dominated Game 4 as they have done in the series with their talisman, Steph Curry scoring 37 points. Kevin Durant had 20 and was awarded the Most Valuable Player for the second straight year. This is the Warriors’ sixth title in a franchise history and the four-game series win is the ninth ever in the NBA finals and the first since 2007.

Steph Curry had one of his best NBA final performances while the Cavaliers barely gathered the required momentum to quell the deficit and ensure victory for themselves. LeBron James scored 23 points and with this loss, could be his last ever game for his hometown team after returning from Miami Heats in 2014 where he won two titles.
